Bill #Gates Reflects on Childhood - Shares Insight on #Autism

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates revealed that if he were a child today, he believes he would be diagnosed with autism. Reflecting on his childhood, Gates acknowledged that his behavior, which was once considered "non-standard," would align with today’s broader definition of #autism.

He shared, "This whole thing of Asperger's or on the spectrum is a fairly new thing... If you're slow socializing... I realized, wow, there's a bit of a pattern match there." Gates believes these traits, which he now understands as part of the autism spectrum, actually helped him focus and excel in math, science, and programming.

With #autism being more widely recognized and understood today, Gates' personal reflection highlights the evolving definition of the condition and its impact on personal and professional growth.
